Generation

Shipwrecks generate in all types of oceans and beaches, usually underwater. They may also rarely generate inside icebergs and very rarely generate in underwater ravines.‌^{[Bedrock Edition only]}

Structure

Shipwrecks are shaped to resemble classic sailing vessels or pirate ships. They will generate in one of three ways: upright, sideways, or upside-down. In many cases, they will be missing their bow, stern, mast, and multiple other blocks, appearing damaged, but it is also possible to find them in one piece. They consist solely of wood materials, including logs, stripped logs, planks, fences, stairs, trapdoors, and doors. All variants of wood are used in the shipwreck's structure, but it is usually built out of only two wood types at a time (spruce + dark oak, birch + oak, jungle + spruce, etc).
